Care Worker / Personal Assistant

The aim of the job is to provide assistance required by the employer, a disabled man who has multiple sclerosis.

Rate of Pay: £10.90 gross per hour increasing to £12.00 in April.

Shift Pattern: You will be required to work a minimum 3 hours per week 6 days out of 7 Monday to Sunday. The shift is for late evening at 11pm to 11-30pm. 30 minutes to provide the care at bed time.

A reliable and trustworthy person able to take direct instruction is required to assist with all aspects of:

Personal Care
Assistance getting in and out of bed
Assistance with toileting
Moving and assisting
Any other duties that are relevant and pertinent to the role of carer / personal assistant.

The successful applicant should have a good history and experience of providing care and support. Experience of working with older people/people with disabilities. The employer requires care in many aspects of daily life therefore flexibility is required.

Applicants must have membership of Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) or be willing to join this scheme.
