Kitchen Porter / Grounds Person

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team in a bustling restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, supporting the culinary team, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

In addition the candidate will keep grounds clean and tidy. This work will involve digging, clearing unwanted weeds, grass cutting and possibly some painting.

Responsibilities:

- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas

- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed

- Support chefs and cooks during service by fetching ingredients or tools

- Dispose of waste following proper procedures

- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and inform when restocking is needed

- Adhere to health and safety standards at all times

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred

- Knowledge of food preparation processes is a plus

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting

- Strong teamwork and communication skills

- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
