The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with staff, parents/carers and young people.

Experience in a busy nursery environment is essential and a previous leadership role in nursery would be beneficial.

You will be a team-player, with excellent social skills, which are essential to fit in with our happy nursery team.

Experience as a Senior Early Childhood Practitioner is preferred but not essential.

You must have experience in a childcare environment and hold the relevant qualifications for the post (e.g SVQ3 in Childcare and Early Years or an HNC in childcare and education or equivalent).
 
The successful candidate would be expected to undertake the BA in Early Childhood practice or equivalent that meets the requirements for SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council).

This post is Whole Year working on the 45 week model.  

Senior Early Childhood Practitioners on 45 week contracts will be require to work 45 weeks of the year.  45 week settings are closed 2 weeks at Christmas and remain open the 1st week of October, 1st week of Easter, the first 3 weeks of the summer and for some public and occasional holidays.  Senior Early Childhood Practitioners  working in 45 week settings may be required to work alternating shift patterns to meet the needs of the settings operational hours and in agreement with their line manager.
