Full Job Description

The role reports directly to the Lead HSEQ Engineer. As a Senior HSEQ Engineer, you will provide HSEQS support and guidance to all DeepOcean operational areas with the DeepOcean approved HSEQS Management System, current legislation and regulations.,

  • To provide operational HSEQ support required for projects and worksites.

  • To report on performance and the continual development of the HSEQS Management System for all company operations.

  • To provide support to the Commercial tendering and bid process.

  • To participate and assist with internal and external audits of the HSEQS Management System.

  • To report to the Lead HSEQ Engineer on HSEQS performance and suggestions for further improvement of the system.

  • To continually promote and present the HSEQS culture and values of DeepOcean at departmental and client level.

  • To ensure that applicable HSEQS legislation to DeepOcean's operations is understood and applied to ensure organizational compliance.

  • Implementation and support of the Behavioural Safety Programme ACT for Safety.

  • To provide support to the Lead HSEQ Engineer and act as a deputy if and when required for key tasks.

  • To provide support and guidance to other team members as appropriate.

  • To participate in project or site HIRA's / HAZID / HAZOP / SJA processes in conjunction with project teams and site managers.

  • Provide advice on specific hazardous working practices and necessary control measures.

  • To periodically review risk assessments to confirm compliance and applicability.

    5 year experience within a similar HSEQ role within a subsea O&G, renewables environment is essential.

  • Bachelor's degree or other relevant education within HSE.

  • Experience and understanding of Management Systems, HSE Legislation / Regulations, Risk Management Application, Auditing, Inspection, Incident Management and Emergency Response.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Packages
