Senior Software Engineer / Application Developer

My Client, an excellent organisation based in the Aberdeen area, are looking to take on a Senior Software Engineer/Application Develop to join their team on a full time permanent basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and support of their range of desktop applications. Their software suite is used through a sequence of recording and logging, storage, editing, and visualisation. The data that they handle includes video and sensor data from a variety of sources.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Software design & development of desktop applications

• Monitor and recommend technological developments

• Bug fixing & feature enhancement

• Software support

• Reporting as required by Software Development Manager

• Maintenance of Bug and Feature tracking database

• Maintaining change log records

• Maintaining records of all testing

Your experience and skills should include:

• Relevant experience of software application development

• Good understanding of an OOP language (C#, Java)

• Good communication skills in written and spoken English

• A team worker

• A self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines
