Are you a Quantity Surveyor seeking a role with a one of Scotland's most dynamic construction business?

We are delighted to be working with one of Scotland’s leading construction businesses with over 70 years’ experience in the industry of building highly desirable affordable homes across the country. Due to a period of growth and a strong forward order book, this business is looking to invest in their commercial team with the addition of a Quantity Surveyor to oversee their upcoming affordable housebuilding sites in Glasgow.

Reporting to a Managing Quantity Surveyor, day to day project responsibilities include:

Project cost control procedures in particular, valuations / variations, inventories of stocks and valuation of the interim / final account, ensuring a high level of accuracy.
Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.
Negotiate contracts and work schedules.
Allocate work to subcontractors and oversee their work at all stages of construction.
Perform risk, value management and cost control during construction.
Form and develop constructive relationships with supply chain and all third party stakeholders.

To be successful in the role we are looking for individuals with the following:

Main Contracting or Social Housing experience.
A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying.
An analytical and methodical approach to tasks.
A proven ability to run your own projects from start to finish.
