    Aldi

On the face of it, Aldi is a quirky, down-to-earth supermarket, providing its customers with great quality at discount prices. Take a look at the bigger picture and it's quite breathtaking. We're one of the most impressive retailers in the global business market today; a supermarket that's getting it right. We're winning all kinds of awards and new stores are springing up all over the UK and Ireland (currently one every week).

    What you can expect

Aldi’s Bathgate region has 69 existing and upcoming stores all across Scotland, and is encouraging job seekers with a passion for retail to apply.

The things that make us a great retailer also make us a great employer. Clarity features throughout our business: everyone knows what’s expected of them and they can see how their efforts affect the business. We’re a very responsible company, always treating our people with decency and respect. Progression is based on merit and there’s a clear pathway to personal success. People are often surprised at how open we are. Even with a business model that’s incredibly watertight, we’re open to fresh ideas that will help us become even better. It’s a fantastic place for graduates who are willing to work hard and learn from the very best.

    Benefits

We do pay well and make sure you’re rewarded throughout your Aldi career.  We also do everything we can to provide you with security and stability. The fact that people tend to stay with us for such a long time is a good sign (perhaps the best sign) that we do take care of our people.

    • What hours will I work?Open or Close

This depends on the position that you apply for - details can be found on our website. In stores for example the Store Manager will draw up the rota 4 weeks in advance and your work patterns will reflect the needs of the store. We expect you to be flexible but we also try and accommodate your needs too.

    • Why do we pay our people so well?Open or Close

It's simple really. We believe that they're the best in the retail business. Compared with other supermarkets, our teams are smaller and the job involves a much wider range of activities. Our Store Assistants work hard, they're flexible, they use their initiative...and at the end of the day, they're worth every penny.

    • What else will help my application?Open or Close

It can be tough in the store, and lots of different challenges will come your way. We need to know that you can handle hard, physical work and that you're great at dealing with people. Most of all, you'll be a reliable team member, happy to help out whenever possible.
