    Over the past 26 years, Golden Charter has grown from a two-man operation on the high street of a north Glasgow suburb to an award-winning business with record sales and employing more than 300 people to become the UK's market leader in pre-paid funeral plans.

    Golden Charter is the leading provider of pre-paid funeral plans in the UK, working with a network of more than 3,300 funeral directors.

    Owned by a national association of funeral directors, we provide these independent businesses with the resources they need to compete with large conglomerate providers such as Co-op Funeralcare and Dignity.

    Using the knowledge gained from generations of experience, we believe that independent funeral directors provide guidance, support, care and outstanding personal service to the communities in which they operate.

    As experts in later life planning, we also offer a comprehensive range of legal services including Will Writing, Powers of Attorney, Probate and Asset Protection to ensure that consumers can plan ahead for all eventualities.

    More than half a million people have trusted us to take care of their funeral arrangements since we sold our very first funeral plan back in 1990.

    But Golden Charter's success is almost certainly down to its people.

    We currently employ around 370 people, more than 200 of whom work from our Bearsden-based head office with the remainder out working in field-based roles throughout the UK.
