Danny MacAskill - One amazing talent

On 19th April this year, a bloke called Dave put a film of his flatmate riding a bike around Edinburgh on YouTube. He thought a few of his mates would like it.

Four days later it had been watched three and a half million times (it's now nine and a half).

Danny MacAskill started riding bikes as a young lad on Skye. He must've been a daredevil back then too. He remembers being dragged home by the ear by the local policeman and having his bike confiscated in the school holidays.

Later he became a bike mechanic and a rider with Scotland's Cycling Display Team (The Clan). Before Dave picked up a camera and changed his life forever.

And now he's riding his bike for us, in the new ad for s1jobs.

When we saw his film, we had the same reaction as everyone else. Wow. So we thought, who better to front our new ad campaign?

Danny is everything we admire in young Scots. Dedicated, ambitious and stupendously talented. We can't tell you how proud we are to let him showcase his talent.

"I'm really excited about the advert, I was allowed to choose some of the wilder things I wanted to try and it looks amazing. Hopefully it will get a similar reaction to the youtube video."
