Do you have the qualities required to be the Property Services Manager for North Lanarkshire Council’s Housing Service?

North Lanarkshire Council is the 4th largest Council in Scotland and the largest Local Authority Landlord. We are looking for a Property Services Manager who will lead a staff of almost 70 employees which provides a repair and maintenance service for the Council’s 37,000 properties. This includes responsive repairs and planned maintenance, void management, gas servicing and repairs and asbestos management. The successful candidate will also establish and manage the procurement framework and approach for all contract work.

You will be joining a Council which strives for excellence in service delivery and works well with partners, including our new joint venture companies.

Reporting to the Head of Housing Services you will contribute as a member of the Senior Management Team to the strategic management and direction of the Service.

This post represents an exciting and challenging opportunity for a highly motivated individual who has a minimum of 5 years relevant experience including budget management at a strategic level. You will also require a professional or academic qualification in a relevant discipline at degree level. Evidence of a proven track record of successful partnership working with a variety of services and partners as well as leadership, team building and development of modern services in property and asset management are also essential. It is essential that you possess excellent leadership, managerial and organisational skills and you will have an excellent understanding of the underpinning legislation, policy and procedures relative to the post.
