There will be an on-call rota. We are currently recruiting Support Workers for the following services:- Glasgow Mental Health Services You will be involved in providing a wide range of social care supports to people living in their own homes, with a focus on supporting people to follow interests, take part in activities and groups and develop social relationships; support people through crises or help to avoid them; and help to make sure that people do not slip through the net by actively maintaining contact with them. Liaising, communicating and working closely with health and social work colleagues will also be central to these posts. Posts are available to work in each of the five Community Health and Care Partnership areas of the city and we welcome applications from a diversity of backgrounds to reflect the communities in which we will work. Supported Living Service for people with a physical disability In this newly commissioned service, you will work with people who have a complex physical disability, who will require support to live successfully in their own home and be involved in their communities. Full and part-time posts are available to support individuals in various parts of the city. We are seeking flexible and enthusiastic workers from a wide variety of backgrounds, as well as specifically seeking to recruit Punjabi-speaking male Support Workers to support one individual. Cathkinview (Night duty Support Workers) This service is an alternative to residential care for older people who need access to 24 hour staff support, but do not want to move into a Residential Care Home and are supported in their own flats in two multi-storey blocks in the Mount Florida area. The range of support work covers everything required to enable each person to live safely in their homes and to follow their interests and keep family and social contacts. We are now seeking to appoint night duty Support Workers to support people during the night and ensure their safety, comfort and wellbeing.
