Senior Manager Regulatory OperationsGlasgow
Leading UK Company within the banking sector is currently looking for experienced Operations Manager to work in their Regulatory Unit.
The main accountable of this role is leading teams delivering high quality regulatory monitoring and reporting services across a diverse range of business segments including investment management, private banking and brokerage
Key responsibilities:
" Lead a team to deliver regulatory monitoring and reporting activity in the UK and Foreign markets in accordance with FSA and local regulatory requirements.
" Deliver a world class client service ensuring service and quality levels are met, while operating within a robust control environment.
" Keep informed of all new market and regulatory initiatives and evolve processes and products as required.
" Liaise with key stakeholders over a multiple client base to ensure excellent customer service.
" Lead a high performing team to achieve its business goals by exhibiting role model behaviours.
" Create, communicate and implement business change initiatives in a professional and positive manner.
Role requirements:
" Experience of regulatory aspects of financial services, with in depth knowledge of at least one of FSA capital adequacy, HMRC ISA rules or the US Qualifying Intermediary regime, is essential.
" Proven record within an operational environment demonstrating a well developed understanding of operational and regulatory processes and the concept of risk management and control.
" A good level of education to degree level. Industry recognised qualifications, either accounting or securities industry, would be a distinct advantage.
The successful candidate will combine great people management skills with in depth technical knowledge underpinned by sound problem solving and analytical skills.
