Robertson Facilities Management are looking to recruit a Maintenance Tradesman (Plumber) to be based at Nrw Craigs Hospital in Inverness. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager duties will include:

The postholder will work as part of a flexible team with continuing responsibility for the provision of a comprehensive, high quality property maintenance service to all hospital sites managed by the company.  Each postholder will have a designated core skill (Plumber) and will be expected to lead in this area, but will also be expected to undertake any property maintenance work within the postholder’s range of competence.

 KEY RESULT AREAS

• To ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of the Project Agreement between RFM and NHS Highland.
• To undertake planned, responsive and cyclical maintenance work.
• To undertake maintenance duties in such a manner as to support the healthcare objectives of the client and with respect for the dignity and privacy of the patient group.
• To ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment and tools.
• To operate at all times with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal, etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM.
• To maintain asset histories, maintenance records and helpdesk reports, informing the Maintenance Manager of any follow up action that may be required.
• To take part in an on-call rota providing 24 hour, 365 day cover to the facilities.
• To carry out winter gritting and snow clearing duties as necessary as part of the RFM team.
• To report all accidents and incidents as appropriate.
• To provide support and assistance to other RFM personnel on the sites in the delivery of contracted services.
• The postholder will be required to maintain an awareness of RFM’s polices & procedures 
• To carry out any other duties assigned by the Management Team.

The postholder will be required to perform duties appropriate to the post other than those given in the job description.  The particular duties and responsibilities associated with attainment of the key result areas may also be varied without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibility entailed.  As a result of such variations it may be necessary to update this job description from time to time following appropriate consultation. A clean driving licence is essential for this position
