Our Property Project Programme delivers a wide and diverse range of projects from general maintenance to the redevelopment of bus/rail depots and railway station improvements. This is your opportunity to take the property project management team to the next level in developing a centre of excellence that benefits a market leading organisation.
Reporting to the Group Director of Property across our UK Rail and Bus divisions we have an active programme of major new builds ranging from £2m to £20m. In this new role you will be a pivotal interface between the internal organisation and external stakeholders. Responsible for the management of a growing team of technical advisors and project managers, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of a diverse range of property projects, ensuring their effective delivery on time, on budget and to the highest quality. The tremendous scope and influence of the role goes without saying as you contribute to the UK property strategy and the production of an annual business plan. An inspiring leader, you'll also advise the business on property priorities, whilst implementing management controls to ensure the overall programme is proactively implemented.
You will be a highly experienced construction professional, degree educated and have a relevant professional qualification. Naturally, you'll have a proven track record of managing high-value (£15m+) property projects from planning to construction, with financial accountability. You'll also need highly developed interpersonal skills that motivate, persuade and inspire confidence at all levels, as well as the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
