Eden Scott’s client is an established Scottish Portable Accommodation & Plant Hire company. Due to existing business and continued growth they have a requirement for an experienced Production Control & Planning Coordinator to join their Grangemouth team. The Role:

The role will ensure that customer orders are quantified, processed and met. With a focus on lean manufacturing and a determination to further improve customer service the Production Control & Planning Manager will;

• Monitor the production critical path to ensure delivery on time, in full and to cost.
• Ensure maximum resource utilisation by identifying and maintaining challenging work goals and schedules.
• Work with colleagues to effectively agree targets and plan production capabilities.
• Drive visible performance monitoring and improvement efficiencies.
• Manage the production order book and ensure maximum catalogue availability.
• Ensure production activities are happening in accordance with the production schedule.

You will be expected to manage orders in an analytical manner and liaise with hire controllers to establish requirements. Along with monitoring orders you will be expected to produce production plans to every production departments. Acting as a bridge between team leaders and senior management you will be required to monitor team member performance and development, and ensure KPI information is visible to all parties and deviations.

The Person:

A background in plant hire would be beneficial. You will have experience in a management or supervisory role and experience of order management within a dynamic manufacturing organisation. This role is well suited to someone with a drive to succeed and will over the opportunity to undertake challenging projects and introduce a positive change.

Candidates with additional experience of qualitative analysis, time study, sigma principles and lean manufacturing would be at an advantage.
