Due to expansion, my client, a leading home improvements company in Dunfermline are looking to recruit an accountant for a new role within their company.

Within this position you will be responsible for the timely and accurate production of interim and year-end financial statements ensuring adherence to all relevant accounting standards and regulations.

The job holder must possess excellent interpersonal skills for liaising with their team and individual departments.

You will also be responsible for monitoring, checking and reporting year end financial accounting statements, and other related processes and will be expected to take the necessary corrective and preventative action if any deadlines/quality standards are at risk, or if an error occurs.

Good numerical skills and accounting knowledge are essential as is computer literacy

All applicants should be as a minimum part qualified and studying towards full qualification. In addition qualified accountancy status is desirable.

This is initially going to be on a 3 or 6month contract basis with a view to being permanent therefore all applicants must be available indefinitely and be interested in committing to a permanent role. Salary circa £23,000 - £27,000.
