 Our client seeks Accountancy Graduate or Part Qualified Accountant to join their company as Assistant Accountant reporting to their Financial Controller. They seek an active studier who wants to gain all the experience needed to complement their studies and drive their career forward.

Duties will include:

·         Preparation of accounts to Trial Balance

·         Reconciliation of ledger accounts on a regular basis

·         Preparation of balance sheet schedules for monthly accounts pack

·         Bank reconciliations

·         Petty cash reconciliations

·         Margin Analysis / Product Costing

·         Able to cover for FC on IT matters in his absence

Projects for 2008 – 09 – to assist the Financial Controller

·         Implementation of full stock management system  to include stock receivings, manufacture and job costing, advanced warehouse picking and despatch

·         Implementation of full ledger management system to include Purchase Order Processing, Inventory Management, Purchase and Nominal Ledgers.

·         Consolidation onto 1 ledger with appropriate balance sheet and P&L schedules available to local management.

·         Enhancement of electronic trading to include integrated EDI ordering and invoicing and extension of website functionality to allow customers to place orders electronically.

Skills Required

·         Part Qualified Accountant or Accountancy Graduate

·         Some experience in gained in workplace accounting.

·         Capable of using Excel at high level

·         Familiarity with report writing packages an advantage

·         Career motivated and determined to impress

·          Committed to passing exams and qualifying as a professional
