Site Safety Case Engineer

Hays Energy are looking for professional safety case engineers with a varied degree of experience within the nuclear sector. A summary of duties include:
To be the Safety justification Group Single Point of Contact for issues relating to the Site Safety Case.
To research and have a working knowledge of the totality of the Site Safety Case which includes Nuclear Reactor Plant, Nuclear Weapons and Warships in Harbour. This requires the post holder to research and have a working understanding of HMNB Clyde Facility Safety Cases.
To manage and develop processes to monitor the Safety Justification Group and Naval Base Design Department Integrated Programme, clearly identifying deliverables and associated timescales. The post holder is to ensure that progress against agreed objectives is regularly briefed to the relevant stakeholders.
To act as chair / secretary (dependant on complexity) at group ALARP Workshops, in order to determine whether operations / activities at a Facility are ALARP through the undertaking of optioneering studies, cost-benefit analysis and appraisal studies, which have the aim of reducing Risk whilst obtaining best value for money.
To attend meetings / workshops (NSAG, DNSAG, Facility Working Group etc) where the output can effect the Site Safety Case and ensure that Compliance with the extant Safety Case is maintained.
To liaise with other Naval Nuclear Propulsion Programme (NNPP) stakeholders, MoD, BM, Rolls-Royce etc, as required in support of the maintenance and development of the Site NSSJ documentation.
