An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Credit Controller to join our Pub Enterprises Finance team.

Reporting to the Credit Team Manager, you will be responsible for working within the Credit Control policy guidelines to meet the departments KPI’s.

You’ll also ensure that all customer queries regarding credit control are resolved promptly. This is a role for someone who is looking to work in a challenging environment and develop their skills.

Key responsibilities also include:

  • Proactive cash collection
  • Collection of overdue debts
  • Maintaining effective customer records
  • Resolving any payment queries and issues
  • Carry out any reconciliation as required
  • Negotiate any repayment plans with customers and monitor payments
  • Review and manage any agreed credit limits/facilities
  • To action all new account applications
  • Ensure all information is accurate
  • Provide any relevant information to sales and customer finance
  • Produce monthly reporting for KPI’s
  • Liaising with our legal department as appropriate
As dealing with the sales teams and customers will be your main focus, we are looking for candidates with previous experience from credit control or customer service environment.
To be successful in this role you’ll be very organised, proactive and willing to take on responsibility.

We are also looking for the following:

  • GCSE or Equivalent
  • HNC business studies or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of excel, word, lotus notes database
  • Demonstrate the ability to make decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Have the ability to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail is key as well as accuracy
  • Strong team player

As we encourage development, we’ll also support individuals in studies towards ICM.
