Our client is one of Europe's leading manufacturers. Due to the success of their brands, they have created a new position for a Commercial Manager.  Working with the European Commercial Director, you will be responsible for managing, planning and controlling the financial performance of sales regions.

They see this role as being one of the most important within their organisation.  You will drive the business forward to allow the Directors time to focus on strategic development.

So what will be expected of you?

Looking after France and Scandinavia, you will be the main contact for the country managers for all day to day matters involving sales, pricing, discounts, customers, forecasting and inventory issues for the business.

You will analyse and review the commercial performance of the business including maintenance of the overhead costs of all departments.  You will actively participate in the effective communication and actioning of key priorities and business plans.

Working closely with the country managers and key customers, you will develop programs to maintain and drive sales growth. As part of the Senior Management Group, you will have a high degree of exposure to the Directors updating on progress and identifying issues which require action to assist in achieving corporate targets.

The culture of this organisation is fast paced and professional with a very high customer service ethic.  In this diverse role, you will have responsibility and accountability and will have involvement with all parts of the business.

To make your mark in this position, you will have a relevant degree and possess comprehensive experience of working in a forecasting or financial analysis role within a B2B environment.

You will be highly organised, have superb communication, ideally be fluent in French (not essential) and have the ability to deal with the unexpected in a productive manner.

There is no doubt that this is a challenging role.  To achieve what is expected, you need proven analytical skills, strong financial acumen with a clear understanding of financial planning and forecasting.  Your ability to lead, motivate and inspire is a must as well as being dynamic and change focussed.  The role also demands extensive travel to France on a regular basis.

Please email your CV stating why we should consider you for this role.
