Supply Chain ManagerGalashiels   £40K + benefits

My client is a rapidly growing specialist pharmaceutical company with commercial operations throughout UK and Europe. In addition to rapid organic growth this company has a strong emphasis on R&D and covers projects from early research right through clinical trials and on to registration and marketing.

The main purpose of the Supply Chain Manager will be the supply of all products to international markets.

These activities will include – management of the sales and operations planning process; management of suppliers of finished products (including packaging, artwork and change control); ensuring that there is an appropriate network of distributors complying with good distribution practice; working with the finance team to manage inventory levels and inter-company transfers: and working with Business Development and Strategic Marketing and Planning to evaluate and implement new product opportunities. 

You will have a Life Sciences degree or equivalent with at least 5 years experience of supply chain management, production or requirements scheduling.

In addition the successful candidate will have demonstrable competency and experience in use of planning and scheduling tools, Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) methodologies and procurement.  You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.  You will be an effective team player as this role interacts with a number of commercial and technical disciplines.
