CAD Technician - Freelance or permanent contract - AirdrieAirdrie   Above market rates for freelance post and excellent salary

My client, based in Lanarkshire are currently recruitng for a Roofing Cad Technician to be based in their head office.

The successful candidate will be required to liaise with our Clients Design Team and attend site meetings.  Must be capable of taking the design from Concept through to Completion.  Ideally the candidate would have an Engineering background.

• Must be experienced in Built-up Roofing Systems, Composite Wall Panelling and associated products
• Experienced in AutoCAD 2009 (lite version)
• Checking incoming Architects and Engineers drawings to check they provide the information needed to prepare query lists
• Attend site meetings to resolve queries on projects
• Ordering of materials from approved drawings and negotiating prices
• Preparing fixing specifications
• Chasing delieveries to make sure materials delivered to schedule
• Assisting contract supervisors with any queries that may arise

In order for you to fulfil this role and progress within the company you must have gained experience working working in the Industrial and commercial sector of the Roofing & Cladding Industry.

 This position will be based at the head office but will have full support from the Head Office Design Team.  

At busy periods the candidate may be required to assist with workload from our Head Office.

 The position is a long-term contract and will be on a full-time basis (40hrs/week).  We would be willing to consider Freelance candidates
