We currently have a requirement for a temporary Manufacturing Technician with our client based in Grangemouth.

As part of the manufacturing team you will be expected to work in a safe and efficient manner, operate the plant and control processes to meet production requirements, HSEQ and cost standards. 

The key accountabilities of this role include;

•  To work safely to meet and improve site targets for HSE
• To operate computer and manually controlled plant for all stages of manufacture processes
• Completion of batch records in an accurate and timely manner
• Control and issue of safety clearance for maintenance work
• Scheduling and co-ordinating the operation of the plant to meet production targets
• Carry out formal and informal monitoring of plant processes and equipment
• Carry out engineering maintenance works to reduce plant downtime and increase efficiency of operation
• Creation of accurate and thorough logs and give/receive handovers on the process
• Actively contribute to all aspects of continuous improvement
• To be an effective and flexible member of the plant work group contributing towards the achievement of departmental strategy

The successful candidate will have the ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and have excellent IT skills.

You should also have proven organisation, team working and problem solving abilities.

 Candidates with experience running a variety of computer-controlled chemical manufacturing assets and a recognised chemical qualification will have a distinct advantage.
