Eden Scott's client is a fresh, progressive and rapidly expanding small-medium sized private practice of Chartered Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers with offices across the UK. The firm is very well established in the Scottish market with a first class reputation. An excellent career opportunity exists for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor with some relevant experience to be based in their GLASGOW office.
Currently active on a number of recently secured projects across a variety of sectors such as Housing, Hotels & Leisure, Health, Commercial, Transport, Civils and Infrastructure, our client is keen to supplement an existing sub-division of the firm with the appointment of an additional Graduate Quantity Surveyor to work on a range of new build and refurbishment Hotel developments. You will also assist other internal teams and may find yourself working on commercial office developments, mixed use developments or residential projects.
You will join a highly respected team in Glasgow and will assist the Associate Directors in taking responsibility for a number of different projects ranging in value from £100,000 to £21m. Ideally, you will bring the following credentials:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying
- ideally experienced and working towards APC (salary levels to be adjusted depending on level)
- Employer's Agent or Project Monitoring experience advantageous
- Multi – storey / Hotel project interest
- Enthusiastic and determined to fast track your development
- Client facing potential
Training & Development
This is an excellent opportunity to join the business at a key stage of its development plan. Progression opportunities are anticipated as the company continues its growth and success. In addition, candidates working towards their APC will be assigned to a mentor responsible for ensuring your personal and team development. If you are not already enrolled on the APC you will be fully supported in doing so and working towards RICS membership (all APC training cost provided). This would be an excellent platform for you to develop your project experience while working for a company that will undertake to support you in any way possible.
In return, you can expect a very generous basic salary in the region of £21,000 – £24,000 depending on experience levels along with a comprehensive benefits package, including company pension and 25 days annual leave plus statutory days.
