Clinical Governance and Risk Management Unit, St. Martin's House, 181 Union Street, Aberdeen

Full Time 37.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity is available to work within the Clinical Governance and Risk Management Unit.

This post will be based within the Aberdeen City Sector Team and the successful candidate will work as part of the team alongside Clinical Effectiveness and Risk Management colleagues playing a key role in embedding clinical governance, risk and safety within the Sector.

 The Co-ordinator will support the CHP with governance arrangements but will also work with other sector Clinical Governance Co-ordinators on governance issues that cross all the sectors in NHS Grampian. The role will provide direct support to clinical staff but will also involve working with managers on CHP/Sector objectives and Change and Innovation work. The role will also include taking forward national work e.g. NHS Quality Improvement Standards and Inspection priorities.

Candidates should hold a degree or an equivalent professional qualification with masters level qualification (or experience equivalent to Masters level) and have extensive experience in the NHS. Experience in a quality improvement/patient safety environment is desirable and applications are welcome from any professional group.
