The company is looking for a Customs Coordinator to join their expanding team. The main purpose of the position is to oversee, ensure control of and assist with regards to all Customs matters for all company facilities. In respect of material movements locally, nationally and internationally while meeting both HMRC Regulations and Company Policy.

Principal Accountabilities

•To monitor Customs Compliance in respect of HMRC Current Legislation and assist in the implementation of corrective actions

•To issue import clearance instructions to Freight Agent for all imports (inclusive of TURN, Customs Procedure Code, Customs Authorisation, Commodity Code etc)

•To carry out management checks on Customs Import and Export Documentation

•To update the HMRC MSS reports on a monthly basis, hyperlink documentation

•To request all Diversion to Home Use Requests and amendments

•To complete all rotation reports/ Schedule of Receipts in respect of IPR goods and ensure goods are controlled through to export

•To carry out Compliance checks on all outward manifests against import documentation/ Supplier Delivery Notes

•To complete and control all rotation reports/ Schedule of Receipts in respect of Customs Controlled Equipment being shipped to North Sea

•To ensure that all Customs Department Files are kept up to date with the required accurate information in the event of a customs audit

•Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.

Skills

•Knowledge of HMRC legislation and effects on company operations

•Knowledge of import and export documentation requirements

•Ability to prioritise workload and work in systematic way

•Good organisational skills

•Keen eye for detail
