Material Logistics SupervisorGlasgow   £ Competitive Depending on Experience

A well known engineering firm with great pedigree, operating in a niche market and supplying companies across the Globe is looking for a Material Logistics supervisor to join their team initially on a 6 month contract with a possibility of going permanent.

With a reputation for engaging, employing and retaining the best people in the industry it's no wonder this company has had continued success in its market.

The role shall involve:

•Overseeing material flow from receipt to final use
•Managing material control including demand requirements
•Managing the material handling process from storage to internal despatch
•Managing all stores material handling personnel
•To oversee the central stores including controlling issues and returns, inventory checks and stock replenishment.
•Managing internal transport personnel

The right candidate shall:

•Have similar experience gained within a manufacturing/engineering environment
•Experience in ERP systems
•Extensive warehousing experience
•Experienced in bar coding
•Have excellent people skills
•Have a team oriented mentality
