As part of Scottish & Newcastle plc, the UK’s largest brewer and pre-eminent pub retailer, Scottish & Newcastle Pub Enterprises (SNPE) is responsible for developing over 2000 independently and individually run pubs in partnership with individual business people throughout the UK and we are recognised as the Britain's pub operator of choice.
They are currently recruiting a Credit Controller for their Livingston office.
Job Description
- To ensure that all departments KPI’s are met (cash collection, cwo debt, direct debits, debtor days and overdue debt).
- To apply the S&N UK credit control policy at all times.
- To ensure that all customer queries regarding credit control are resolved promptly.
- Responsible for proactive cash collection as well as chasing overdue payments for both loans & trade
- Collection of overdue debts/Carrying out reconciliations/Advising customers & sales regarding suspension of supplies
- Maintaining effective records to ensure dealings with all customers are properly recorded
- Allocating cash daily & contacting customers to resolve short payments/Liaise with customers to resolve returned payments
Experience & Qualification
- Must be computer literate with excellent interpersonal skills, have the ability to plan & organise daily workload effectively
- Knowledge of excel, word & lotus notes database
- Demonstrate the ability to make decisions within designated guidelines

- Must be accurate & pay attention to detail
- Must be a team player
Skills/competencies
- Credit Control/Sales ledger experience
- ICM student member
Pay rate: £9.00 per hour
Duration of contract: 8 weeks – Temp to Perm
Hours of work: 9:30 am – 5:30pm, Monday - Friday
Lunch: 1 hour
