Our market leading client has a fantastic opportunity for a Customer Service Team Leader to take up a post for an initial 6 month period, extending to 1 year.
The main purpose of the role is to manage the Customer Service team and its activities ensuring appropriate allocation of workload and resources. The candidate must manage demand for replenishment customers and the clients distribution centres by determining and maintaining levels of inventory to meet their forecasted requirements. They will also be responsible for ensuring customer orders are supplied in accordance with Customer Service targets for all markets and all sites.
An extensive understanding of complex Excell spreadsheets is a pre-requisite for this role as reading and compiling the orders in this format will be a key responsibility within the role.
Main Duties to include :
Ensure all home trade, replenishment and export customer orders are processed accurately and on time in accordance with Customer Service guidelines.
Manage and maintain the customer order database (including the customer master file) to meet internal/external customer needs.
Monitor/track order/demand progress and provide status updates to internal/external customers - escalating potential customer service issues as soon as possible to avoid customer service failure.
Analyse historic demand from replenishment centres and propose levels of inventory to meet their forward requirements.
Recommend minimum stock holding levels for replenishment customers.
Ensure recommended inventory levels are maintained at both replenishment and supply point locations.
Ensure the effective management of the export commercial documentation process (including freight cost analysis).
Analyse & issue customer service metrics recommending areas for action and improvement.
Manage the customer service team in work assignment and productivity, ensuring performance or disciplinary situations are dealt with.
