Eden Scott’s client, a large city centre prestigious Law firm, is looking to appoint a Revenue Supervisor to join their Finance Team.
Boasting one of the largest banking and finance departments in the Legal field; encompassing Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and London, the successful applicant will enjoy working within a progressive, forward thinking and award winning firm.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller / Finance Manager the Revenue Supervisor will manage a staff of 3 credit controllers and 4 billing assistants. The ideal candidate will have a background centred within the Legal environment, (however, other professional service backgrounds will be considered) will have experience of managing a team and will have a pro active approach to their work load.
Duties will include:
Credit Control:
- Work with fee earners to ensure that monies are received for fees rendered.
Billing Processing:
- To manage the billing process so fees are processed promptly
WIP Management:
- Assisting fee earners in actively managing their WIP
Key Tasks:
- To hold a detailed knowledge of the functions and systems within the teams and ensure the are operated efficiently and timeously
- To keep systems under review & make recommendations to the Financial Controller for change to improve efficiency
- To train staff and widen their skill set
- To agree targets for the functions within the team and to plan workloads
Core Skills & Knowledge:
- Hands on experience dealing with billing and credit control, ideally within the legal profession
- Previous supervisory experience is essential
- IT literacy including Excel, Work and Outlook. Knowledge of Lawsoft or other Legal practice management system would be an advantage
