Eden Scott's client are a modern and friendly law firm with offices based centrally in Edinburgh. They have an opening within one of their large divisions to join the busy team.

The Role:

  • Liaising with team secretary for filing stationery needs
  • The closing out of completed files and organising their removal from the department into storage
  • Liaising with central records for storage space for the closed files
  • Collation of figures for various reporting purposes for the Team Leader/Manager
  • Assisting the Team Administrator and Secretary with ad hoc admin tasks as necessary
  • Returning files used by Fee Earners to the correct drops
  • Collecting filing from trays and sorting into correct matter numbers
  • Scanning items into the correct files, using our in house system
  • Ensuring that files are kept in good order and splitting into continued files where necessary
  • Filing of recorded delivery slips into correct files
  • Making up new files where necessary
  • Responsible for Title Deeds and their collection and storage

The Candidate:

  • Have a common sense and methodical approach
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
  • Have the ability to communicate with staff at all levels
  • An enthusiastic person with a can-do attitude
  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Have some experience of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel but this is not essential
