This manufacturing business really is going places following a recent acquisition by a large PLC; the Finance team has doubled in size in the past year and more vacancies will no doubt follow. There are 5 roles at “Management Level” of which this is one, all reporting to the FD in a very flat structure, so there is real potential for progression as the finance department grows.
One of the key KPIs for the company is the OWC (Operating Working Capital). There is no system in place currently to forecast this, or to model the capital spend, so we are looking for a candidate to focus on forecasting/budgeting and building business models to help justify forecasts. Duties would include:
· Preparation of bi-monthly forecasts
· Review of actual results against forecast (for forecast improvement)
· Control of annual budget process
· Proactive control of Operating Working Capital
· Regular cash forecasting
For you to be successful in this role you will need to be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) and extensive experience of forecasting, cashflow modelling and budgeting from within a commercial environment. As this is quite a complicated ongoing requirement there will be full support provided whilst you get to grips with the business, and as the business grows so does the potential for taking on people beneath you.
As well as a generous basic salary of up to £40,000 there is also a good package including a very generous bonus of up to 20% (based on company performance, 60% profit related and 40% based on meeting OWC targets), good pension, etc. There will be great potential for progression as well, and full training provided where applicable.
