Landscaping Area SupervisorGlasgow   £22 - 28 000 plus car, pension and bonus

National Landscaping and Ground Maintenance contractor providing landscape related services to local authority, private and corporate customers have a current requirement for an Area Supervisor for Glasgow.

You will be responsible for the management of the Glasgow area to achieve company growth and profitability and to ensure that all business practices are conducted in accordance with company policy.

Duties include:

• Oversee all work within area of responsibility.
• Provide support for and be responsible for staff on the ground.
• Liaise with Clients at necessary level.
• Attend Client meetings where necessary.
• Oversee work programmes/schedules and progress of works.
• Assist in applying disciplinary procedure when necessary in conjunction with the personnel dept..
• Assist with the preparation of new contracts, add-ons and extra works.
• Ensure compliance with all necessary Health and Safety regulation.
• Seek new business opportunities and liaise with Area Manager.
• Costing and ordering plant and materials

Applicants should be able to demonstrate a sound horticultural base with an appropriate qualification e.g HNC/HND in Amenity Horticulture plus four years experience as a supervisory level within the industry. You will probably work for another landscaping company, local authority of facilities management company and will have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
