Time served Mechanical Maintenance Fitters required for Engineering and Manufacturing facility based East Ayrshire.

Job Description: To ensure a fast response to breakdowns, whilst completing PM's on time, allowing plant availability to continually improve.

Duties:

• To respond to and prioritise all breakdowns as quickly and efficiently as possible, in a manner that conforms to in house Health and Safety requirements.
• To carry out all necessary repairs to plant and machinery in a cost and time efficient manner, in order to maximise productivity and minimise down time.
• To ensure that all follow up work is logged and completed in an efficient and timely manner.
• To ensure on completion, all 'Maintenance Job Cards' are filled in correctly and signed off by the relevant operator.
• To order any spares which are required and follow the progress of the order.

Skills Required:

• HNC or equivalent in Mechanical/Maintenance Engineering
• Time served apprenticeship
• Experience on Heavy Industrial machinery
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• Flexibility and adaptability

This role will involve working on a rotational shift pattern of early, day, back and night shift. The hours will be Monday to Friday, working one weekend on in every four.
