Purpose of role:

Our client is a Big 4 Consulting firm with ambitious growth targets and the most prestigious reputation in the Scottish marketplace.

You will drive our clients business forward in a combined mix of audit and advisory services. As one of the worlds' largest audit practices, joining our client will allow you to play an integral role working for some of the leading names in the industry from owner managed businesses to large multinationals.



Our client provides our professional advice and assurance on their controls and accounting systems all year round. They work closely with their markets to understand their industry and the issues they face. This is a great opportunity to learn from the market leaders and as regulatory changes take effect spearhead any due diligence, forensics and corporate finance services as required. Their computerised audit approach and investment in technology enables them to deliver seamless global accounting and auditing services.



As an Assistant Manager you will assist with the management of the audit of key sections or business units of their clients. This will involve audit planning, day to day management of field teams including review of audit work, liaison with key client staff and the management of the reporting process.

Further responsibilities will include:

" Ensuring completion of audits/projects within agreed timescales

Budgeting time allocation to assignments and explaining variances from budget

" Participation in due diligence or other transaction support engagements

" Drafting accounts in accordance with UK GAAP/IAS



Person Specification:



To be considered you must possess:

" ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification or experience (preferably first time passes)

" Previous audit experience

" Commercial awareness of current economic and market trends

" Developed project management skills

" An analytical approach with a motivated and committed attitude

" The ability to develop strong client relationships through strong communications skills and the commercial awareness to spot opportunities

" Public Practice experience would be advantageous especially well rounded individuals from Smaller multi-disciplinary firms who are looking to take a step up to work for a Big 4 firm.
