This reputable organisation works in partnership with both public and private sectors, undertaking the full range of civil engineering activities for large and small scale projects, employing the highest calibre of human, technical and financial resources to ensure the best quality and most cost effective solutions for clients.
Ideally the sought individual will be degree qualified in Project Management / Engineering or a similar construction related field and be able to demonstrate a wide knowledge of construction techniques and contract law relevant to the industry. ICE Chartered level or equivalent would be desirable and a strong financial, commercial and business development acumen, advantageous.
Key activities will include the following:
Lead and manage the project, ensuring high levels of morale and motivation at all levels.
Promote repeat business by personal contact with key stakeholders, and by demonstrating high levels of commitment to their requirements.
Ensure realistic short, medium and contract programmes are prepared, reviewed and updated
Ensure method statements and risk assessments are prepared, briefed, reviewed and updated.
Ensure operation of the Company cost control system, and the timely production of reliable cost reports and QF's.
Assist in the acquisition, preparation and review of designated tenders, with particular reference to planning and methodology
