Our client is a leading contact centre, which provides information and advice services in the areas of health and lifestyle management for governmental and commercial organisations.

We are currently recruiting for a pool of sessional helpline advisors for our purpose built contact centre in Glasgow. The role involves working on a Drink, Drugs and Sexual Health Helpline for Adults. As such previous experience in a relevant setting such as drugs/alcohol counselling, crisis intervention, addiction, health promotion, sexual health, voluntary work, community education, nursing, counselling or social work is required.

Main duties will include:
·Provision of advice, information & referrals as appropriate to callers
·Use of database/hard copy for information retrieval
·Accurate collation of call and other information requests as required

To be successful applicants will have to demonstrate excellent communication skills, previous experience of dealing with people over the telephone and a genuine interest in providing advice services.

This is a challenging role with a strong focus on the quality of the service provided and, as such, commitment to the highest standards is essential. Good basic computer skills are a must, as are reliability and a strong work ethic.

Full training will be provided to ensure that you have all the information you need to do the job. Successful applicants will be required to work shifts Monday –Sunday from 7am to midnight.
