2009 will see the completion of an innovative redevelopment programme with the co-location of Heriot-Watt University’s School of Textiles and Borders College on a new Scottish Borders Campus at Netherdale in Galashiels.From spring 2009,Heriot-Watt University will deliver library and information services to both institutions from a new Library/Learning Centre on the Campus.

An enthusiastic and highly motivated information professional,you will manage the Borders College Learning Centres in the period leading to the establishment of the joint service. Thereafter, you will be responsible for delivery of the Library/Learning Support services to Borders College students and staff in the Campus Library as part of the overall team of library staff.This post offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the planning and delivery of an innovative service.

You should have a qualification in librarianship/information science and experience in the FE sector. Excellent communication, IT and team-working skills are required, plus experience in the use of the Web and networked information resources.
