We are currently recruiting for a large company in the east Ayrshire area.Our client requires the services of an experienced buyer to work within their successful office.
The role-
- Maintaining and negotiating all of the commercial data and agreements relative to a specific group of supply contracts.
- Supporting the operational supply function.
Identifying potential direct cost savings opportunities.
- Implementing cost saving projects that contribute to the overall achievement of the departmental objectives.
- Reducing the total cost of acquisition.
- Developing relationships with cross-functional departments and suppliers.
The candidate-
- A candidate with current experience within a similar role
- Relevant MRP system knowledge
- first class working knowledge of all Microsoft packages with a specialism of Excel
- Engineering industry knowledge would be a benefit but not essential
- Effective team player and communicator
Hours of work and benefits
- 7:45am-4:15 Monday to Thursday
- 7:45am-12:45 Friday
- Pension scheme
