buyer Ayrshire East   £21,000 + DOE

We are currently recruiting for a large company in the east Ayrshire area.Our client requires the services of an experienced buyer to work within their successful office.

 The role-

• Maintaining and negotiating all of the commercial data and agreements relative to a specific group of supply contracts.
• Supporting the operational supply function.
   Identifying potential direct cost savings opportunities.
• Implementing cost saving projects that contribute to the overall achievement of the departmental objectives.
• Reducing the total cost of acquisition.
• Developing relationships with cross-functional departments and suppliers.

The candidate-

• A candidate with current experience within a similar role
• Relevant MRP system knowledge
• first class working knowledge of all Microsoft packages with a specialism of Excel
• Engineering industry knowledge would be a benefit but not essential
• Effective team player and communicator

Hours of work and benefits

• 7:45am-4:15 Monday to Thursday
• 7:45am-12:45 Friday
• Pension scheme
