An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Manager to join Santander to lead Commercial, Market and Distribution development initiatives within Intermediary Distribution Key Account Team. These initiatives are strategic and commercial requiring detailed knowledge of market and key account developments, in line with Abbey and Alliance & Leicester strategy.

 

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Development, you will lead the examination of Intermediary Market developments, and perform regular analysis whilst reviewing key account customer Segmentation to look at the distribution dynamics and trends whilst monitoring competitor activity. You will look at MI and KPI data to assess the value of the key account relationships that we have, whilst identifying and exploring new sales opportunities to work with key account as they arise. You will be required to manage all key account contracts, and contract negotiations using your stakeholder management and negotiation skills, as you maintain up-to-date knowledge of FSA regulations and see how that may impact on key account commercial arrangements. 

 

With Strong working relationships with external accounts and internal key stakeholders across the business, you will possess extensive experience in a financial services background with exposure to the Intermediary market. With your problem solving ability and effective research and analysis skills you will have excellent ability to understand and communicate complex issues at all levels. Essentially of graduate calibre or equivalent, some project management/legal experience would also be preferred, as would an MBA or equivalent qualification.
