£13,233 - £16,333 pro rata per annum (AfC Band 2)

Based at Shieldhall Workshop, Glasgow 

As the largest UK Ambulance Service with a fleet of over 1400 vehicles spread over a wide geographical area, the Scottish Ambulance Service requires a high level of fleet administrative support.  As part of this ongoing commitment, we are looking for an experienced administrator to maintain our current service provision.  This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week, (Monday to Friday) for a minimum period of 6 months, to provide maternity cover for the existing job holder.

Reporting to the Fleet Maintenance Manager, your principal responsibility will be to provide a comprehensive administrative service to the workshop, with specific reference to production and allocation of job sheets, stock control for parts, invoicing and dealing with suppliers.

The challenges of this position would require a person with at least 2 years administrative experience, ideally gained within a vehicle fleet, car dealership or similar environment.

A comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office packages and their relevant application is expected. Also, effective communication skills, combined with the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a small team is essential, along with the ability to work accurately to defined timescales
