Optimat is an independent strategy and economic development consultancy that specialises in helping clients to exploit developments in markets and technologies.  We celebrate our 20th birthday this year and can look back on an impressive track record with public, private and academic sector clients in the UK and Europe, based on our established reputation for delivering practical and innovative solutions to our clients across a range of sectors, such as chemicals, construction, electronics, energy, engineering, environment, food & drink, ICT, materials, photonics and emerging technologies.

Most of our people have a technical degree and an MBA (or equivalent), complemented by industrial experience in a strategic role such as product development, innovation, marketing or sustainability.  This gives a broad in-house knowledge base of industrial markets, sectors and technologies.  This multidisciplinary knowledge and the use of state-of-the-art research & analysis methodologies allows us to develop strategic solutions for a diverse range of clients.

We pride ourselves on encouraging entrepreneurial behaviour within a friendly and flexible environment and are looking to grow our business by building on our existing capabilities and developing new and related markets.
