A fantastic opportunity has just been created with one of my clients who are looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Analyst. My client are a large global organisation and have recently gone through a period of restructuring and as a result have created this position.

The position supports the processes associated with the administration and settlement of the contracts that the company have entered into. Close liaison with Commercial Operations, Accounting and other Commercial team staff will be a big part of the role.

The role relies on the collation of data using spreadsheets, macros and bespoke IT software. You will be expected to analyse these results in order to generate reports on the performance of each site. As commercial analyst you will have a duty to ensure the accuracy and quality of this analysis.

In order to be successful in this position, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The responsibilities listed below are representative of the knowledge and core competencies required to do the job.

* Gross margin analysis
* Preparation of daily and operational contract reports
* Ad hoc commercial analysis
* Spreadsheet and process development
* Contract invoicing and notices
* Checking and reconciliation of settlement data

You must have a strong commercial background and be able to demonstrate a commercial awareness at interview.

You must also have a strong knowledge of Excel!!!!
