Our client, a market leading multi-national, is seeking an ambitious and driven part-qualified accountant to join their General Ledger team. Primarily, you will provide support to the General Ledger Team Leader for daily process operations, including reporting and month/quarterly/year end closes. Specifically, this will include:
- Complete and explain balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley controls.
- Significant involvement in the month end closing process.
- Prepare, review and post monthly accruals and prepayments.
- Analyse P&L cost accounts and provide variance explanations.
- Maintain good working relationships with the auditors.
- Maintain compliance with statutory requirements.
- Maintain the integrity of the accounting environment in accordance with US/UK GAAP and group procedures.
- Ensure tight financial controls are maintained across the UK general ledgers.
To meet these challenges you will be a high caliber finance graduate who is actively studying for a professional accounting qualification. You will possess strong technical financial reporting skills gained in a similar multi-national business environment, coupled with the ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders. First class team working, time management and IT skills are essential.
