We need an enthusiastic, customer focussed individual to join our team as Product Manager to contribute to the design of and manage the production of our distance learning and assessment products.
You will be a confident Learning and Development professional interested in sharing your expertise. You will have a knowledge of qualifications and assessment practices and you will be familiar with a range of Microsoft Office packages.
The role of the Product Manager is to design learning programmes through liaising with academics, awarding bodies and learner representatives. With a background in learning and development, you will have experience of delivering a number of projects simultaneously within set timescales and budget.
You will be well organised, with the ability to prioritise and meet agreed deadlines. At the same time, you should bring a flexible approach to working hours and there may occasionally be the opportunity to travel within the UK in order to meet with authors, tutors, suppliers, customer organisations and students.

Main Job Purpose:
To initiate and research new product development projects and manage an existing portfolio of products.
Principal Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Delivering new product developments on time and in budget
- Contributing to research to identify new markets and to the evaluation of new product developments and other related business initiatives
- Updating and maintaining an existing product portfolio according to learner and tutor feedback, course and qualification specifications and legislative requirements
- Managing and monitoring budget and spend per product development whilst ensuring timely delivery of projects
- Building and maintaining excellent working relations with external awarding and professional bodies
- Contributing to centre and course accreditation from awarding and professional bodies
- Recruitment of appropriate authors, editors, proofreaders and tutors and negotiating their fees and contracts within set parameters
- Liaising with tutors, academics, learner representatives etc to gain feedback and to assist in programme design
- Styling and copy checking of course materials and marketing literature
- Producing and delivering in-house training documentation for new course launches
- Sourcing of appropriate learner resource support
- Monitoring the performance of products and feeding this information back into future developments.
