Student Event Co-Ordinator Can be based anywhere   Voluntary

*ONLY OPEN TO STUDENTS MATRICULATED FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2009/10*

We are looking for organised and enthusiastic students to lead a volunteer group to run fundraising events at your University Campus over the academic year. We need students with strong communication skills, drive and creativity and the ability to motivate and co-ordinate others.

Your role will be to recruit other students to form a fundraising group. As a group you will plan and run events to raise funds for Barnardo’s, and will be in charge of the events from start to finish. As the group leader you will be responsible for managing the group and ensuring that everyone works together to make the event a success.

As a Student Event Co-ordinator you will gain valuable experience in fundraising, volunteer and event management and marketing. You will develop your communication and leadership skills and will receive a reference from Barnardo’s on completion of your volunteering. Also you will have the opportunity to work towards a Career Development Award from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and will gain access to our internal vacancies list.
