Role description
To perform audits of clients' procedures in order to ensure that the client's financial accounting systems and credit management policies and procedures meet invoice finance requirements. Additionally perform surveys of potential clients' as in the audits and also carry out inspection of cash flow related books and records, identifying and reporting inadequate controls, invoice finance specific risk areas, recommending improvements and making considered recommendations as to the suitability of the potential client for invoice finance facilities.
Responsibilities include:
•To monitor the financial health of clients in order to ensure the early identification of risk to invoice finance.
•To document audit findings in a report, with recommendations on subjects where remedial action is required by line management within the area being audited.
•To undertake new business surveys document findings and make suitable, appropriate and commercial recommendations in accordance with the banks policy.
•To ensure that audit visits are carried out in accordance with the frequency specified in the relevant policy procedure.
•While engaged in audit visits to seek to cross-selling opportunities for the Group.
Attributes
Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:
Essential:
•A strong accounting background within invoice finance
•An understanding of the mechanics of company s accounting system.
•Must be data rational with numerical skills and be detailed conscious.
•Ability to identify problems and formulate commercial and manageable solutions
•Ability to work on own initiative, with good time management, planning, prioritisation and organising skills in addition to being able to balance own / work activities.
•Good motivation and teamwork skills.
•Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence others.
•Possess clean driving licence.
Desirable:
Knowledge of key risk areas together with good analytical skills.
Accounting qualification.
Package includes a car, phone, laptop and printer. Mileage allowance and expenses paid.
