Assistant Commecial Manager Glasgow   £20 - £22.5 per hour

An opportunity exists within our local authority client for a temporary Commercial Procurement Manager.  The Job, which is based in Glasgow, would suit you if you have previous strategic procurement experience gained within a construction or civil engineering discipline.
 
You shall be responsible for the cradle to grave delivery of the procurement process required for setting up a framework agreement for the Category of works contracts including Civil and Structural Engineering and Indirect Categories, previous experience in Design, Build and Maintenance contracts would be of particular interest to the client.
  

You shall have recent experience in strategic procurement and contracts award processes for Highways/Roads contracts with a working knowledge of EU legislative framework tendering, coupled with the ability to handle a wide range of relative commodities.  In addition to the above you shall have experience of electronic tendering,  good negotiation and communication skills with the ability to analyse and resolve complex issues.
 
Skills Criteria: 

- Experience of Public Sector Procurement including EU legislative Procurements
- Experience of Procurement of Roads/Highways works contracts
- Experience in use of electronic Purchasing systems
- Preferable: MCIPS
