My name is Vikki and I manage recruitment for a leading Life & Pensions company.  A Unique opportunity has arisen to work with a new IT Director to shape and work alongside them to help transform IT Hard and Software procurement. It’s an excellent opportunity to join an organisation that is still increasing it’s market share in a difficult economic climate.

 As an IT Procurement Specialist your role is to be responsible for the management of a range of operational project and category purchasing spend (range £10 - £15million). Creating and implementing sourcing plans and strategies delivering optimum cost and service improvement for the allocated projects/categories.   Acting as a support role to the Sourcing Managers for the higher spend, more strategic categories.

Requirements

Essential:

• Proven procurement experience including demonstrable skills in buying IT Hardware, Software and associated services ideally within financial services
•  Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills, with particularly robust phone communication skills
• Proven ability to deliver on time and to budget
• Experience of working in a continuous improvement environment with a strong focus on supporting change

Desirable: 

• CIPS qualification
• Experience of working in a multi-site organisation
