HR Consultancy’s Renewable Energy client is looking to further expand their team of professionals with the addition of an experienced Ecologist. The role will involve taking a lead in the development of ecological services provided by the Company. The work will include leading the undertaking and production of habitat & species surveys and mitigation schemes and ecological impact assessments. You will liaise with a wide range of stakeholders and regulatory authorities therefore excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. You will have a confident manner and have the presence of character to deal effectively on a face to face basis with people at all levels including; local residence, government bodies, external consultants and commercial contacts
The successful applicant will:
- Be commercially-aware with good all round knowledge of practical and legal aspects of ecology and have experience at undertaking EcIAs;
- Have excellent report-writing skills;
- Be a holder of a surveyor licence for GCNs (or other protected species) and able to write and submit protected species mitigation schemes.
- Be qualified to a least degree level in an environmental subject and have proven experience
- Ideally be a member of a relevant professional institution (e.g. IEEM) or be working towards full membership and have substantial experience
